Street Angels Motorcycle Club Scholarship, Deadline May 31, 2014

Street Angels Motorcycle Club is a group of women dedicated in its efforts to provide for the community an organization which promotes the safety of motorcycling, camaraderie and the patronage of the riding community. We strive to make great contributions to our riding community, as well as assisting those in need.  The Scholarship was established in 2008 as another opportunity to give back to the community. We believe that pursuing an education at the post-secondary level is beneficial to the individual, the community and the economy. Because of this belief, we have decided to assist two individuals in their pursuit of higher education by providing educational funding. We will award one $500 first place, and one $250 second place scholarship.

Criteria:

Applicant must be a freshman entering a four-year college or university in 2014-2015

Applicant or parent/guardian must be a licensed motorcycle rider in the state of Georgia

Applicant must be a resident of Georgia

Applicant must have a minimum grade point average of 2.50 on a 4.00 scale

Applicant must provide an official transcript with the application packet

Applicant must provide one letter of recommendation with the application packet; this letter must be from an educator or guidance counselor at the applicant’s school

Applicant must provide proof of community service with the application packet

Applicant must submit a 500 word essay

Finalists must appear for an interview in the Atlanta area on June 14, 2014.

These applicants will be notified via telephone or U.S. mail.  Winners are invited to the scholarship luncheon on June 22, 2014.

Wellstar Cobb Auxiliary Scholarship, Deadline May 14, 2014

The WellStar Cobb Auxiliary Scholarship is available for students who plan to pursue a degree or certificate in the healthcare profession in the State of GA.  Applicants must have a minimum GPA of 2.0.

Cobb School Counselor Association Service Scholarship Deadline April 11, 2014

The criteria for this scholarship is as follows:

 

Student has served as a peer helper, peer tutor, peer mediator, or some other type of service work.

Student is a graduating high school senior.

Minimum 2.5 G.P.A.

Letter of recommendation

Written essay…two typed pages, double spaced, size 12-14 font.

Scales of Justice Scholarship, Deadline April 15, 2014

The competition is open to High School Seniors and Senior Level Home School Students who are residents of Fulton, DeKalb, Gwinnett, Cobb and Clayton counties.  The deadline is April 15, 2014.

2014 MARC Scholarship Opportunity, Deadline March 14, 2014

The Metro Atlanta Relocation Council (MARC) is proud to announce the fourth annual MARC Scholarship Program for current high school seniors who have relocated into the Atlanta area over the course of their high school career.

The student must have relocated more than 50 miles sometime between grades 9 (after completion of 8th grade) and 12 and changed schools due to their family’s relocation. Residence eligibility is defined as a senior attending a private or public school in any city or county district within Cobb, Fulton, DeKalb, or Gwinnett Counties as well as any county immediately bordering these counties. You could win an $8,000 college scholarship

For the opportunity to win an $8,000 scholarship, submit a video or written essay about an individual you know personally (who lives in your community) who has inspired you and helped you build the confidence you need to achieve your goals.

 

The details

The 2025 Regions Riding Forward Scholarship Contest consists of four (4) separate Quarterly Contests – one for each calendar quarter of 2025. Regions is awarding four $8,000 scholarships through each Quarterly Contest.

Nu Psi Sigma Chapter of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc., 2014 Scholarship for Young Men, Deadline 3/24/14

Scholarship Criteria:

  • Must be a male senior at a Georgia high school
  • Must provide a letter of intent (not to exceed two pages in length) including the following: personal introduction, professional aspirations, and a detailed description of how this scholarship will impact your future endeavors
  • Include an electronic 5×7 photograph
  • Provide two (2) teacher recommendation letters (must be emailed directly by the teachers to chrisperry1914@gmail.com)
  • Must be enrolled in a traditional four-year college/university by the fall of 2014
Submission Guidelines:
  • Attach application, letter of intent, photographs, and recommendation letters separately to one (1) email.
  • All application documents should be submitted no later than Monday March 24, 2014.
