Type of Support Offered

Our student support program provides the opportunity for students whose schedules prevent their involvement in our College Planning Cohort Program to benefit from the information contained in our online curriculum and presented in our monthly sessions. Since students who are unable to complete the monthly activities required for participation in our small group discussions, the student support program allows students to continue to receive guidance in their college planning.

Format: We schedule one-on-one family conversations at the beginning of the year to discuss the school-year plan; a mid-year meeting (as needed) to reassess the plan; and a year-end meeting assess the school year performance and determine next steps. Students may participate in our virtual monthly meetings to listen to Mr. Wynn’s presentation and our guest speakers.

Students receive a copy of Mychal Wynn’s “A High School Plan for Students with College-Bound Dreams” as a reference to support their college planning efforts. Parents and students may submit questions via email between scheduled meetings or schedule additional one-on-one sessions as needed.
