Speaking/Writing (Verbal/Linguistic Intelligence): Gifts of the spoken and written word, such as poetry, comedy, motivational or public speaking, and preaching. Students highly developed in this area are good at things like reading, writing, and public speaking. They like things like poetry, humor, storytelling, debating, and creative writing.

In the first video, Stanford University student, Chasity Hale, shares her story of how she developed a passion for writing during elementary school, which eventually developing into a 'Hook' in her pathway to college.

 

 

In the second video, Branden Wellington demonstrate high level verbal/linguistic intelligence through the written and the spoken word. His video provides a perfect example of a college application supplement and represents a clearly-defined 'Hook.'
