While performing her research in the Summer Planning activity, one of our students learned about the Harvard Debate Council Diversity Project. There were only 2 8th-graders invited to join the first Atlanta-area Harvard Debate Council Debate Team.

Narrative: Go to the 'Module 11 – Narrative: Summer Planning,' and list all summer programs of interest in the Summer Program Planning Table. As you consider your summer program options, reflect on the goals set following the review of your résumé. The best summer program opportunities may be those that further develop your gifts and talents or assist you in becoming a stronger academic student, increasing your SAT or ACT scores, or developing stronger academic preparation for the coming school year.

If you are not planning to apply to a summer programs or engage in any summer planning, write a summary of your summer plans.
