Activity: Research Universities. As explored in the activity about liberal arts colleges, there can be huge differences in the type of education and workplace preparation a student will receive at a liberal arts college versus a research university. Differences can be reflected in class size, required classes, whether classes are taught by professors or teaching assistants, size of the student body, and the size of the college community itself.
