‘Scholarships.com’ Scholarship Opportunities

Scholarship search site Scholarships.com is a time tested college scholarship search site classic, and with good reason. This scholarships search website is excellently organized, and features a great range of college scholarships that will cater to students from all backgrounds in all areas of study. You’ll narrow the number of applicable school scholarships by filling out the very detailed forms to create your custom profile. You will be guided by the scholarship search website on how to create a login (required) and edit/update your full profile (not required, but incredibly helpful for scholarship searches). The more of the questions you answer and the more information you give, the more custom your scholarship results.

In fact, Scholarships.com will actually begin ranking the scholarship results for you, before you even start looking at them yourself. It ranks scholarships based upon how the number of unique criteria you have that the scholarship demands. You won’t find scholarships flagged that you don’t qualify for. Give the engine your information and you’ll get a leg up on your scholarship search without even doing any searching yourself!

And best of all, Scholarships.com doesn’t sell your information. Everything that you tell them remains private and is only used for the purpose of finding the scholarships that are the best fit for you. The excellent scholarship search options, the logical organization of college scholarship opportunities, the time-tested reliability, and the information safety of Scholarships.com make it a real safe bet. Take the time, fill out the forms, and you’ll find this a great resource to find college scholarships. Don’t skip this one, because your college fund can’t afford to miss it!

‘Fastweb’ Scholarship Database

Fastweb College scholarship database If you’re looking for fast and furious efficiency when finding college scholarships, then FastWeb is a great option. This college scholarship search engine is brought to you by the people at Monster Job Search and as you might imagine, offers many customized scholarship options in a convenient, organized manner. FastWeb is destined to become Monster for scholarships – the best of the best. You can get in on it now, using its features today to get real cash scholarship benefits.

From the moment you first look at Fastweb’s scholarship search engine, you’ll admire how logically it is laid out. It offers a ton of information on scholarships at a glance, including the type of scholarships (grant, competition, etc) and the exact scholarship money award available. This neat feature really helps cut down on time. Within seconds, you can separate easy-to-apply-for scholarship competitions from more work-intensive essay contest scholarships. Apply to the easy, quick ones now, and then work toward the harder ones for later. That way, you’ll know you’ve got something in, and the whole scholarship application process won’t seem overwhelming.

The custom scholarship results just add to this website’s strength. You’ll fill out a detailed form, not as detailed as some we’ve seen, but definitely asking the right questions to produce a customized list of scholarships. You’ll find that the scholarships are well organized and detailed, and they typically provide you with links to the scholarship’s own website with no hassle, so actually applying is a snap. There may be a few more ads then we’d like, but they’re all well presented and offer things helpful to your college scholarship search. With a little care, you can easily steer clear of them. The bottom line: this is a great scholarship search engine for help you finding the college scholarship programs that are right for you.

‘Free Scholarship Guide’ Scholarship Search Site

Free Scholarships Guide Free Scholarship Guide is a free scholarship search website that is great in theory, but its design tends to fall apart in practice. It will collect tons of information from you in the process of setting up a profile, but it won’t give you the kind of easily searchable custom scholarships results that FastWeb or Scholarships.com provide. Making the process even more complicated, you’ll find that there are ad “traps” just waiting to be clicked on.

One other thing we noticed immediately about FreeScholarshipGuide.com: the website seems a little outdated, with old styling in desperate need of an update. The organization isn’t terrible; it’s just nowhere nearly as good as it could be. They offer little in the way of search, meaning more scholarships to be gone through by hand rather than auto-sorted by a machine. It’s tedious, but it can also reveal unexpected surprises, like college scholarship money that’s perfect for you, awarded for something that you never would have considered.

This is a great free scholarship search to look into if you have time on your hands. Go elsewhere first, and come back here if you find yourself with a few extra minutes. And when you do, be careful about what ads (if any) you choose to click on. Don’t be lured by offers for credit cards; focus on the scholarships and you’ll find some great information.

‘Scholarship Experts’ College Scholarship List

Scholarship Experts Scholarship Experts is a well-organized college scholarship search site, and it offers a good amount of information. But getting to the scholarship search information requires that you fill out a lengthy profile. The questions are very involved — which is good — but it takes time to complete them. They will give you highly customized scholarship search results in exchange for the time you spend, but it still is a headache if you’re on a tight schedule.

But once you start using this scholarships site, you’ll enjoy the wide range of services it has to offer. It doesn’t just give free scholarship search information; in fact, it also helps you with your college search. You’ll find a lot of valuable tools to help you pay for college as well — beyond just scholarships. It is one of the most comprehensive websites we found out of all the ones we looked at. It has some ads as well, but nothing as extreme as we saw in other places. They are easy to avoid and won’t inhibit your ability to use the site.

In our opinion, the best way to find scholarships on this site is to tailor the amount of information you provide to the time you have. Are you fresh off of college applications and know every last bit of your life’s story by heart? Then fill out the full profile form and enjoy the customized scholarship search results. But if you don’t have time, consider whether it would be better for you to fill in some basic criteria and then do the rest of the scholarship searching on your own, as you find time in your schedule. Either way, if you have the time to use this college scholarship search site, you should definitely do so. The information you’ll get could well be invaluable.

‘Scholarship Help.org’ College Scholarship Information

Scholarship Help Scholarship Help.org isn’t as much of a college scholarship search website as much as it is a scholarship information website. This is great — so long as you’re looking for tips on finding college scholarships and filling out scholarship applications rather than an actual list of scholarships to which you could apply. Unless you’ve already turned in all of your scholarship search materials and are completely done with the process, you’ll find helpful and educational information here.

That is, if you can find out how to get to that information. The user interface is confusing at best. The scholarship information is accessed via a menu that stretches down the left side of the page, and using a frame like that to hold information like this isn’t easy. The jumble of different article titles is not just confusing, it’s actually intimidating. The trick is to sit yourself down and force yourself to look at it, picking apart the individual titles and ignoring the rest of the words until you’ve finished reading. Doing it that way will allow you to be discriminating, reading only what you want to read without missing something that could be great.

No matter where you are in your scholarship search, this website shouldn’t be your go-to scholarship search aid. It is just too badly organized and offers too little in terms of real scholarships that are application-ready. But if you’re looking for scholarship tips on how to refine your scholarship applications essay, or want a source of good college information in general and don’t have to worry about time, Scholarship Help is just the thing.

‘Cappex’ College Scholarships

Cappex Education Scholarships Cappex is a great site if you’re focused more on college admissions. That’s what Cappex was designed to do, and so understandably that’s what they do best. Scholarships have been added, it appears, as an afterthought, an outgrowth from the website’s mission to help you get into college. That said, if you do need help getting into college, Cappex is invaluable. It might not give you scholarship information like some of the other sites, but it has merits all its own.

One of the main problems, however, is that the scholarship search it does provide gives only a handful of links, and they’re all provided by Cappex itself. That doesn’t mean you shouldn’t consider applying for them, but it’s still an incredibly small selection compared to the scholarships that are available. The scholarship search results are also difficult to search or organize, adding to their limitations.

Yet if you’re looking for colleges, Cappex shines. The website could easily connect you with the college of your dreams, finding you a perfect match in an institution you’d never think of on your own. That’s what Cappex specializes in. But if you’re just looking for undergraduate scholarships, unless you have a lot of time on your hands, we advise that you look elsewhere. Spend an extra hour on revisions to scholarship application essays or putting in some extra study time instead.

‘College-Scholarships.com’ Scholarship Database

College Scholarships dot com Education Scholarships College-Scholarships.com immediately stands out because it doesn’t require a login, but that’s only because it doesn’t offer personalized scholarship results. In fact, it doesn’t offer any kind of scholarship search at all, nor does it offer a college search. Yet it does offer college information, as well as scholarship information and dorm living information. This information is generally good, but there’s one problem with it: organization.

When you’re looking for something on this website, we strongly recommend using your browser’s keyword search function just to get it in the links, or reading through the homepage text (yes, that will almost certainly be easier than finding the thing in the link list on the left). Everything on that site is found through links, but they’re not logically organized (at least as far as we could tell). They were concentrated along the left side, and their names were long enough that the entire setup looked incredibly crowded. It wasn’t quite as hard to use as it appeared, but even the look of it was enough to be daunting.

This is one of those sites that you should only look at if you’ve got time. It has some useful information, but it’s so difficult to find what you’re looking for that it’s almost a waste of time. Read it if you can, but don’t be too disappointed if you have to pass it by. You won’t be missing too much, and you’ll be gaining a lot more time to work on other things.

‘Scholarship Search’ School Scholarship Search Service

Scholarship Search Portal If you want to speak very technically, ScholarshipSearch.com is a scholarship search service. But when you look at the page for the first time, what comes to mind more than anything is a site that runs advertisements and nothing else – the kind of site you get on a page when you mistype the address, and end up with a friendly reminder that “This Domain is Available!” with a list of ad links below it.

The website’s service was about as good as its initial impression. We tried searching for college scholarships, but the “results” page only turned up “Sponsored Results” which almost certainly means results from websites that have paid to appear on ScholarshipSearch.com. They’re not customized you; they’re not even customized to human beings – they’re customized to get the highest profit for the people running ScholarshipSearch.com.

Long story short, don’t visit this site. It’s not worth your time, not at all. The links it provides are biased, so you’re unlikely to get any good information out of them, and anything you do get will be constantly clouded by the suspicion that it may be just another ploy to get you to another sponsor. True, ScholarshipSearch.com is available without a login. But it’s just not worth your time. Your scholarship search process will benefit more from some extra review of your application than from even a second looking here.

‘College Board’ Scholarships

College Scholarships There’s a reason why the College Board website is one of the most well known on the Internet. They were among the first to begin offering online scholarship searches, and they remain one of the best. Their organization is excellent, and they have the added bonus of connections to SAT, SAT II, and AP tests. Having those linked to your scholarship search account is handy for reference and convenience.

But more importantly, if you’ve taken any SAT or AP tests, you already have (or should have) a College Board profile. You won’t have to enter a lot of extra information, and you’ll still get customized scholarship results. Alternatively, you can also access the scholarships without creating a login; College Board seeks to maximize access, so if you want to look through their listings without giving any information about yourself, you’re free to do so.

But if you intend to take any AP or SAT exams in the future, you’re well advised to start by creating a College Board profile. It’ll come in handy later, and for the time being it will give you a great starting point for your college scholarship search. The College Board website might not be the most comprehensive, but it will help you get started with good scholarship search information, articles, and more. The scholarship results are searchable and numerous enough to be significant. If you want reliable, good information that you know you can count on, organized in an easily readable way and customized to you, then you can’t miss the College Board scholarship search website.
